A film, documentary, exhibition or other type of audio-visual product about a specific theme or idea, based on scientific/scholarly research, and regarded as being important for communication between researchers.
It is not possible to assess films, documentaries, exhibitions and other audio-visual products using authorised lists. Evidence for their value and relevance for research communication must therefore be presented in the narrative.
Some of the films, documentaries and other audio-visual products in this category qualify as hybrid because their audience includes not only peers but also a societal group.
This indicator can be operationalised using various criteria to demonstrate – with arguments – the importance of the products. The criteria are:

- role of research unit and/or researchers in creating the products
