Organising of conferences

Description

A research conference organised by the research unit and meant for external participants.

Explanation

It is not possible to assess research conferences using authorised lists. Evidence for their value and relevance for research communication must therefore be presented in the narrative.

Usefulness

This indicator can be operationalised using various criteria to demonstrate – with arguments – the importance of the products. The criteria are:

  • innovative nature of conference
  • reach and/or national/international nature
  • size of conference
  • status and/or reputation of conference
  • role of research unit and/or researchers in organising the conference

Status

Reasoned indicator, as part of narrative.

The Digital Humanities panel had identified a number of important scientific conferences for the domain, please see the Digital Humanities page.
