About QRiH

QRiH is a tool for assessing the quality and relevance of research in the humanities, in line with the guidelines and basic principles of the SEP 2021-2027.

Between 2013 and 2017, QRiH was designed on behalf of a partnership of national umbrella organisations of humanities, philosophy and religious studies faculties (the DLG, DGO and DWB) and the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), and financed by the Sustainable Humanities (‘Duurzame Geesteswetenschappen’) fund.

The current QRiH was produced by a steering committee on behalf the above-mentioned partnership.

The steering committee consisted of Prof. Thomas Vaessens (Utrecht University, chair), Prof. Keimpe Algra (Utrecht University), Prof. Lisa Cheng (Leiden), Dr. Elske Gerritsen (University of Amsterdam), Prof. Marije Martijn (VU University Amsterdam), Prof. Elisa Steinbock (Maastricht), Dr. Ad Prins (researcher), Prof. Frank van Vree (University of Amsterdam, KNAW) and Dr. Thed van Leeuwen (Leiden, Centre for Science and Technology Studies). The latter three also formed the preparatory working group.
